Dr. Yvonne A. Barry is a seasoned family practitioner featuring nearly two decades of experience in her field. Her scope of family practice encompasses women’s health, sports medicine, adult medicine, mental health, and geriatrics. She has been the on-call doctor for Cirque du Solei, has provided care for the geriatric community through her on call services in the greater Las Vegas area, and has acted as an advocate for women’s cardiovascular health. Dr. Barry is an avid reader and takes an interest in promoting her patients’ health through preventative measures such as optimizing nutrition, exercise, and stress relief. Furthermore, The International Association of HealthCare Professionals (IAHCP) has selected Dr. Barry to be featured in their premier publication of The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Barry helps people get well both physically and emotionally. “I pride myself on being compassionate as well as scientific. I enjoy seeing people’s faces light up when I tell them they are well”, says Dr. Barry.

Dr. Barry is comfortable seeing ages 6 and up.

Dr. Vikas Lahar is a board-certified Internist. He served as Chief Resident, Internal Medicine at Norwalk Hospital, an affiliate of Yale University in Norwalk, Connecticut, where he completed his Residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Lahar has a passion for science and understands that medicine needs the human touch to be effective in addition to science.

Dr. Lahar is comfortable seeing ages 18 and up.

Dr. Eugene Shin is a board certified fullscope Family Medicine physician who graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Sunrise GME Consortium Family Medicine residency program at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. His focus is on complete (fullscope) care of his patients in both the clinic and hospital setting. 

Prior to medical school, Dr. Shin was a level II Staff Research Associate for three years at the Harbor UCLA Biomedical Research Institute (now called The Lundquist Institute) in the Department of Neonatology. The lab he worked in specialized in lung maturation where he performed real time polymerase chain reactions, western blots, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, cell/tissue culture, and laser capture microdissection and has published peer review articles from his time in research. During his Family Medicine residency, Dr. Shin was chief resident and was instrumental in the design, implementation, staffing, and supervision of his residency’s COVID-19 Mobile Screening Unit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Shin was also a guest speaker on KCEP Power 88.1’s Morning Show to educate the Las Vegas Community on the COVID-19 virus. He also appeared on NBC’s National Red Nose Day Special and KTNV Channel 13 Action News’ Morning Show. 

Dr. Shin is comfortable seeing ages 16 and up.

Dr. Guillermo Fraga is an internal medicine physician with over 30 years in healthcare. He is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He moved to the United States after medical school in Argentina and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UMC in Las Vegas, NV. During his last year, he was Chief Resident at UMC and decided to make Las Vegas his home. Dr. Fraga comes from a family of physicians and saw them as mentors so much so he decided to follow in their footsteps. Medicine is his passion, making diagnoses and providing appropriate treatment is what he love to do, and that is why Dr. Fraga choose internal medicine which manages more complex cases in and outside the hospital.

Dr. Fraga is comfortable seeing ages 18 and up.

Dr. Sheila Miranda is an Internal Medicine specialist and primary care physician at Valley Oaks Medical Group in the Sun City Office. Originally from California, she moved to Las Vegas to pursue her residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2001. With over 20 years of experience, she initially worked in local hospitals, providing care to acutely ill patients. However, three years ago, she transitioned to the primary care setting.

In addition to her medical career, Dr. Miranda has a passion for bodybuilding. She is a professional bodybuilder and has been actively competing in bodybuilding shows for the past five years. Her expertise in this field allows her to offer patients valuable insights into proper nutrition, fitness, and weight loss strategies. Outside of work, Dr. Miranda is happily married to her high school sweetheart for 23 years and is the proud mother of two sons.

Dr. Miranda is comfortable seeing ages 18 and up.

Dr. Joseph Ed Lotterhos graduated from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamón, Puerto Rico with a Doctor in Medicine degree and has over 17 years of experience in healthcare. He became a primary care physician because of his passion for helping others and felt becoming a doctor was the best way to be able to look at the whole person for comprehensive care. Being a medical doctor also provides him the opportunity to partner with patients in order to help guide guide them through their health journey, and be a leader who empowers and advocates for his patients.

Dr. Lotterhos is comfortable seeing ages 6 and up.

Dr. Catherine Nguyen-Ward is currently on medical leave and will return in November. Dr. Mark Tan and Rini Mathews, APRN will be assisting Dr. Nguyen-Ward’s patients during this time.

Dr. Aishwarya Vyas-Lahar is an internal medicine physician. She is originally from India but resides from Rochester, NY. She did her medical school training from American University of Antigua and has had her MD since 2016. She graduated residency in the midst of the pandemic in June 2020 from Norwalk-Yale University program in Connecticut. During her residency training, she was awarded in recognition of her love and dedication to patients as a primary care physician. In her free time, she loves to do and teach yoga and meditation, and has an interest in Bollywood dancing and is a big foodie.

Dr. Vyas-Lahar is comfortable seeing ages 18 and up.

Dr. Mark Tan is a family medicine physician originally from Milwaukee, WI. Growing up in the Midwest, he did his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago and came to Las Vegas to complete his residency training at the Valley Health System. Outside of medicine, he loves to work out and stay active outside with his wife and dogs. Fitness is a great outlet to providing balance to life’s daily stressors and it translates well to the primary care setting where I encourage positive lifestyle changes when it comes to being active, being mindful of nutrition, and for those with weight management goals. In addition, Mark and his wife love exploring the city’s underrated food scene because balance is everything!

Dr. Tan is comfortable seeing ages 11 and up.

Dr. Alexander Castillo is originally from Cerritos, CA and has been in Las Vegas for about four years. He got his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine before coming to Las Vegas. The reason Dr. Castillo got into the medical field is because it combines his interests in science and problem solving with his dedication to maximizing the health and well-being of his patients. He enjoys developing longitudinal relationships with his patients.
